OK, OK, OK. I know what you're thinking. “ewe fan fiction is this guy for real?” Please hear me out. I feel that this will be a great way to practice writing that is both creative and not nearly as time consuming as writing a novel. Each short story will only be between 500 and 1,000 words, which means I can write one in an afternoon. I plan on making a series of loosely connected short stories and releasing a new story every week.
This will give me a great way to explore different methods of describing fantastic creatures, places, and scenes, as well as give me a chance to experiment with abstract or fanciful phrasing. One word of warning, though, due to time constraints, these short stories will not be nearly as well edited as my novels. In my novels I work hard to ensure that every sentence in every paragraph is formatted for content, style, and clarity. I attempt to keep every sentence in the right mood, clear and I do extensive edits to ensure I'm not contradicting the rules of my world. I can't guarantee each short story will be perfect, but some people might find that aspect endearing.

Universe Bound: Barren Archipelago I March 6th 2016: 1000 words. X and P explore a small island but must eventually flee.
Universe Bound: Barren Archipelago II March 15th 2016: 800 words. P explores the ocean for the first time.
Universe Bound: Barren Archipelago III March 22nd 2016: 1200 words. P explores a derelict research station.
Universe Bound: Barren Archipelago IV May 11th 2016: 550 words. P reports his discovery to a local command center and receives a less than warm reception.
